Good Morning to Everyone, Especially…

The final four teams are set to compete for a spot in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs and Ravens will face off in the AFC Championship Game, while the Lions and 49ers will battle it out in the NFC Championship Game.

Conference Championship Games Preview

AFC Championship: Chiefs vs. Ravens

The Chiefs and Ravens are both led by dynamic quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, respectively. The defenses for both teams are also formidable, featuring standout players like Roquan Smith, Kyle Hamilton, and Tyler Sullivan.

The Ravens have been the more dominant team this season, but the Chiefs have a history of success under head coach Andy Reid.

Sullivan’s Pick: Ravens 28, Chiefs 20

NFC Championship: Lions vs. 49ers

The Lions and 49ers are both surprise teams this season, and they have both played well in the playoffs. The 49ers have the advantage of playing at home, and they also have a more experienced quarterback in Brock Purdy.

The Lions’ success hinges on the availability of star wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who is dealing with a shoulder injury.

Podell’s Pick: Lions 27, 49ers 24

NFL Head Coaching Hires

The Panthers and Falcons have hired new head coaches: Dave Canales and Raheem Morris, respectively. Canales is a former offensive coordinator for the Seahawks and Buccaneers, while Morris was previously the head coach of the Buccaneers and interim head coach of the Falcons.

Bill Belichick, who interviewed with both teams, is still looking for a new job.

NBA All-Star Game Starters Announced

LeBron James was selected to his 20th All-Star Game, breaking the record for most All-Star selections. James will captain the Western Conference team, which also includes Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Durant, and Nikola Jokic.

The Eastern Conference team will be led by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid, with Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard, and Jayson Tatum also starting.

No. 1 South Carolina Remains Undefeated

No. 1 South Carolina rallied past No. 9 LSU, 76-70, to remain the nation’s only undefeated team at 18-0. The Gamecocks trailed by as many as 11 points in the game but showed outstanding resolve and composure to come back and win. Bree Hall and Raven Johnson were key contributors for South Carolina, combining for 11 points in the final four minutes of the game.
