Nevada Judge Tosses False Electors Case, Sparking Legal and Political Firestorm
Well, folks, it seems like the never-ending saga of the election just took another wild turn. Setting the Stage: A Nevada Election Story
Let’s rewind a bit. It’s , and the whole country is glued to their screens, watching the election results roll in. Biden clinches Nevada, a key battleground state. But hold on! Trump, never one to back down from a fight (or accept reality, some might say), cries foul. He refuses to concede and spends the next few months claiming, without a shred of evidence, that the election was rigged.
Enter the “false electors” – six Republicans, including the big cheese of the Nevada GOP, Michael McDonald. These folks decided to take matters into their own hands. They declared Trump the winner of Nevada (yeah, right!) and even tried to submit phony electoral votes. Talk about a bold move!
Fast forward to December . A grand jury, after hearing all the evidence, decided to indict these six individuals for their role in this whole scheme. It seemed like justice was about to be served.
Hold Up! Judge Hits the Brakes
But then, in a plot twist worthy of a John Grisham novel, Judge Mary Kay Holthus (say that three times fast!) dropped a bombshell. She dismissed the case, citing “jurisdictional issues.” In plain English, she basically said the state filed the case in the wrong court.
