Rain totals are expected to range between 0.5 and 1.5 inches, with a transition to wet snow anticipated late in the evening. The I-80 corridor and the Laurels/Ridges areas will likely experience the snow first, followed by the rest of Western Pennsylvania.

Light snow showers are expected to linger on Monday, with temperatures dipping back to the upper 30s. However, due to the warm temperatures and wet ground, little to no snow accumulations are anticipated.

Tuesday, January 30, 2024 – Wednesday, January 31, 2024

Another round of rain and snow is forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the mid-40s. The skies are predicted to clear up on Thursday, with temperatures remaining in the mid-40s.

Ohio River Flooding

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the Ohio River in Pittsburgh. The river crested yesterday at 19.25 feet, causing flooding in parts of the Mon Wharf and North Shore. The rain last night is expected to raise river levels again on Monday. The latest forecast predicts the river cresting again early Tuesday around 20 feet.
