Suddenly, one of the scientists, a young woman named Sarah, starts mysteriously seizing. Her colleagues rush to her side, but she is unresponsive. “She’s awake,” one of them announces ominously just before the lights cut out.
Scene 2: Three Days Later
Three days later, on December 20, a delivery man arrives at the Tsalal Arctic Research Station to find the front door ajar. He cautiously enters and finds the station deserted. The only sign of the scientists is a severed tongue left on a table.
The delivery man calls the police, and police chief Liz Danvers arrives on the scene with her team. They search the station but find no trace of the scientists. They also discover a message left on a white board: “We are all dead.”
