Dulles International Airport and Reagan National Airport joined in the record-breaking spree, registering 79 and 80 degrees, respectively, shattering their respective January high temperature records.
The average daytime high for this time of year typically hovers around 45 degrees, making the current temperatures exceptionally higher, highlighting the dramatic weather shift.
