Help us carve the Washington County Sports Female Mount Rushmore!

Washington County, are you ready for this? We’re talking about the GOATs, the legends, the women who absolutely DOMINATED their respective sports and left a legacy that’s inspired countless young athletes (and let’s be real, impressed us older folks too). We’re talking about crafting a Washington County Sports Female Mount Rushmore – no easy feat, right?

Last month, we reached out to a crew of folks who know Washington County sports like the back of their hand – former players, coaches, those behind-the-scenes heroes (we see you, athletic directors!), and of course, our very own Herald-Mail media crew. We asked them to nominate their top four female athletes, coaches, and all-around game-changers who deserve a spot on this epic monument. And let me tell you, the nominations we got were straight fire.

So, how are we choosing who gets chiseled into Washington County Sports history? Glad you asked!
