Roger Rowe School, provides a platform for young entrepreneurs aged 6 to 14 to showcase their products and services, engage with customers, and acquire invaluable business skills. The 2024 edition promises to be an extraordinary display of youthful creativity, innovation, and social responsibility.
Venue: R. Roger Rowe School
R. Roger Rowe School is honored to host the Children’s Business Fair in its vibrant courtyard. The school’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurialism among its students makes it the ideal venue for this event.
Diverse Range of Products and Services
Over 35 young entrepreneurs will set up booths at the fair, offering a diverse array of products and services for sale. Attendees can anticipate finding unique items such as slime kits, eco-friendly gifts, Valentine’s cards, delectable baked goods, 3D printed toys, homemade dog treats, jewelry, charms, video game kits, and many other creative and distinctive items.
Entertainment and Music
Adding to the festive atmosphere, R. Roger Rowe’s very own Harrison Stevens, aka DJ Moses S, will be spinning tunes throughout the event, creating an energetic and engaging ambiance for both young entrepreneurs and attendees.
Interactive Marketplace Experience
The participating children have embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, creating a product or service, developing a brand, formulating a marketing strategy, and setting up a booth at the event marketplace. They will be responsible for the setup, sales, and interacting with customers, providing a hands-on and interactive experience for all involved.
Social Responsibility and Community Impact
Several of the young entrepreneurs are committed to making a positive impact on the community. Notably, The Special Entrepreneurs, a nonprofit organization founded by a junior, will be returning to the fair to support children with special needs. Additionally, McKenna and Paige Putnam of Bloom have pledged to donate 40% of their profits to the House of Blessing, a transitional home for women in Los Angeles.
Organizer’s Perspective
Joanna Dubbeldam, the event organizer and a serial entrepreneur herself, believes that children should have the opportunity to learn about business in a practical and enjoyable way. She is passionate about providing a platform for young minds to embark on the entrepreneurial journey, demonstrating their passion for learning, hard work, and the courage to put themselves out there.
